Golf, music, BBQ collide to aide special needs children

The 3rd Annual Schoepf's BBQ Vaquero Golf Classic and Concert will be Thursday, May 2. The fun event, with cowboy flair, benefits children with special needs through Peaceable Kingdom Retreat.

Players will also get the opportunity to win great prizes like an airboat fishing trip, trophy belt buckles, stingray wallets, a limousine ride for 8, an overnight stay and breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn, tickets to a Round Rock Express baseball game and more.

A lucky driver at the "Hole-in-One" shot could win a Toyota Tundra from Don Ringler Auto Dealers.

The Players Awards Dinner and Concert follows the tournament at 7:00p.m. at Schoepf's BBQ Backyard in Belton.

Players receive a free dinner ticket, and can enjoy the awards ceremony and concert. Players are welcome to bring guests who can purchase additional meals.

Texas music greats Whiskey Myers and 7 Years Today will perform from 7:00-10:00p.m. The tournament awards will be presented between the band performances. The concert is free to golfers, families, and the general public.
