Silvana Jaimes Martinez went home to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, August 6 at the age of 83.  Silvana was born on May 4, 1930 in Mexico, the daughter of Atenojines y Facunda Martinez. 
Silvana’s life was centered on home and family.  She was the mother of 12 children and spent her life caring for them. 

She traveled regularly between her home in El Paso de Guayabal, Mexico and the home of her children in Texas and Oklahoma.  She traveled to the US several times throughout the year and made rounds visiting her children and grandchildren.  She loved being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and friends.  Silvana loved her independence and enjoyed being able to get around on her own which she was able to do until her last days on this earth.  She shared life with her friends and neighbors.   She will be missed dearly as she enjoys her independence in her heavenly home.
Silvana married Crescenciano Perez in 1946. She was the mother of 12 children, 33 grandchildren, and 44 great-grandchildren.  Silvana, Mom,  grandma and great-granma will be missed by all 87 of her descendants.
Silvana chose to make Jesus her Lord and Saviour through baptism in the local creek of EL Paso de Guayabal along with her granddaughter in the summer of 2013.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in El Paso de Guayabal, Mexico and Abilene.
Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Friday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton,Texas Funeral services will be held 10:00am on Saturday, August 10 at the Belton Church of Christ with Gustavo Villanueva (son-in law and Elder at the University Church of Christ in Abilene) & Stephen Austin officiating.   Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Dossman Funeral home).
Silvana is preceded in death by her husband Cresenciano Perez, two children Fidencio and Jose, her brothers Paulino Martinez and Ecliserio Jaimes and great-grandchild Crystal Perez.
Silvana is survived by her children and their spouses:  Ernesto and Catalina Perez, Alfonso and Juana Perez, Teresa and Juan Ortiz, Seferina and Ruben Pena, Seferino and Maria Perez, Maria and Fernando Garay, Esperanza and Jose Gonzalez, Abraham and Miriam Perez, Arturo and Adela Perez, Micaela and Gustavo Villanueva; brothers and sisters:  Raunel Martinez, Petra Martinez, and Agustina Jaimes; and 33 Grandchildren and 44 great-Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren:  Antonio Flores, Luis Perez, Juan Ortiz, Joe Gonzalez, Samuel  Garay, Arturo C. Perez, and Cristian Villanueva.
