Melba Lorene Boren

Services for Melba Lorene Boren were held at 2 p.m. Wed., Oct. 16, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.  Burial followed at Rest Haven Cemetery in Belton.
She passed away Sun., Oct. 13 in a Temple care center.
She was born on Dec. 25, 1918, in Crosbyton, Texas, to Iness Reynolds Parker and Charles B. Parker. She graduated from Crosbyton High School. She married Raymond Boren on April 17, 1937. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Wesley Boren; and two brothers, Leonard and Keith Parker.


She is survived by her sons, Royce Boren and wife Sydney of Belton, Charles Boren and wife Rita of Canyon Lake; a daughter, Sondra and husband Richard Williams of Groesbeck, Texas; and two sisters-in-law, Freda Parker and Madge Parker. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to the Cherokee Children’s Home, P.O. Box 295, Cherokee, Texas 76832.
