Lauren Marie Sanders of Belton and John Dustin Marx of Academy were wed Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Texas Early Day Tractor & Engine Association Showgrounds in a double ring ceremony with Mark Blau officiating.
Lauren is the daughter of Steven and Roxanne Sanders of Belton. Lauren graduated from Belton High School and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She majored in psychology and minored in special education. She’s employed with Belton ISD as the special education teacher and head girls golf coach. The bride was given away by her father.
John is the son of John and Belynda Marx of Academy. John is a graduate of Academy High School and Temple College. He majored in computer-aided design. He’s employed with SpaceX as a contractor.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Old Jody’s given by the bridegroom’s parents.

The bride wore a vintage inspired floor length lace gown by Dace and Johnny that featured a sweetheart neckline with an embellished brooch on the bodice and waist, a lacy high-low overlay draped over the skirt, which featured soft chiffon handkerchief ruffles.
Anna Selman of Dallas was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tamara Campbell of Belton, Sarah Cox of Round Rock, Ashley Salome of Waco, Stephanie Martinka of Bartlett, and Aireana Marx of Academy.
Best Man was Derek Frenzel of Heidenheimer. Groomsmen were Jarrod Lancaster of Oenaville, Chad Haas of Temple, Jason Williams of Academy, and Justin Sitz of College Station.
Ringer bearer was Kyle Cover of Belton. Ushers were Kyle Sanders of Belton and Brentin Marx of Academy.
The reception was held at TEDTEA Showgrounds.
The couple took a wedding trip to Wimberly and will reside in Belton.
