The Space City T’s, the Houston Chapter of the Model T Ford Club of America, will hold their 31st Annual Texas T-Party in Killeen from October 2nd through the 5th, 2008. Each year the club picks a different city in Texas, and will host up to 100 original Model T’s from all over the United States, including a couple from England.  

They will be headquartered at the Shilo Inns Suites Hotel in Killeen. The Space City T’s was founded in 1974, and held their first T-Party in 1978—a one day event in Fredricksburg. It has since grown into a four-day gathering, and is the largest yearly Model T tour in the State.

This year we will be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Ford Model T with the help of AutoMax Ford of Killeen, and the National Ford Motor Company. The tour schedule will be as follows:

On October 2, pictures will be at the Hotel, followed by a drive to Lampasas, with a break in Kempner. Lunch is at the Hostess House in Lampasas.

There will be a courthouse and museum tour as well as a school car show, with an optional winery tour. The Shilo will sponsor an evening reception at 5:30. Dinner is on your own.

Friday, Oct 3 depart the Shilo at 8:00 to The Grove to see Moody Anderson’s collection. We’ll continue on to Gatesville for lunch, and tour the Coryell Museum, returning to Copperas Cove for a 4:30-6:30 Car Show, and dinner sponsored by AutoMax Ford and the Ford Motor Company.

Saturday, Oct. 4 depart the Shilo at 8:00AM. Our destination is the Temple Railroad Museum around 9:30, and then arrive at noon for the Texas Early Days Tractor & Engine Show. Departures from the show should be back at the Shilo for the 6:00PM Closing Banquet.

Sunday, Oct. 5 is breakfast at the Shilo, then load the cars and head home.
