Home, Garden Show to feature seminars

For area homeowners the Home and Garden Show put on by the Temple Area Builders Association is an annual event that connects local residents with a variety of ideas and services.

The event is this Saturday and Sunday at the Expo Center and is in its 37th year.

Last year, there were more than 120 different vendors at the event with 6,000 in attendance.

This year there will be a 50-foot airstrip obstacle course and a dance area for parents to take their children run by Gabrielle's Dance Studio.

There will also be a classic car show, with 75 entries.

Saturday, at the Home and Garden Show, the Master Gardeners will be putting on clinics and one likely to draw some serious interest is the Firewise landscaping from 3-4 p.m. The Master Gardeners will be doing seminars both days of the event.

For area residents the show gives an opportunity to ask questions from the wide variety of vendors available to answer questions. With years of experience on hand by businesses that have worked the show, it is a opportunity that is unique for homeowners.

"We answer a lot of questions and we have participated for around 18-years," said the Vice President of Quality Builders in Belton. "There is a wide variety of things to do and the show has a good selection of businesses that can answer questions."
