Stephen M. Wright, 20, died at him home Feb. 20. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. March 9 at Heartfield Funeral Home with Pastor Jonah Martin officiating. Burial was in North Belton Cemetery.
Stephen was born in Waco April 4, 1991 to Roy Wright and Jeanne Hutmacher Pontes. He graduated from Belton High School in 2008. He loved skateboarding and fast cars. He was a fan of rap music, loved history with emphasis on World War II. Stephen was gentle and kind; he loved life and had a huge heart. February 26, 2012 is his Angel Birthday, not his date of death.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. William and Hazel Hutmacher and an uncle, Haze Hutmacher.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Jeanne and Gunther Pontes of Belton; his father, Roy Wright of Waco; two sisters, Dawn Cooney of Waco and Yvonne Muro and husband Paul of San Clemente, Calif., nieces, nephews, aunts, his girlfriend, Denise Devorna of Belton and his "Brother From Another Mother" Matthew Sheppard Memorials may be made to Bank of America for Stephen Wright.
Heartfield Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
