Aubrey W. Jordan

Aubrey W. "Buster" Jordan, 77, of Lorena, native of Belton, died March 7 in a Waco hospital. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. March 10 at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Rhodes officiating. Burial was in North Belton Cemetery.
Mr. Jordan was born in Belton Jan. 20, 1935, the son of Bill and Mallie (Foley) Jordan. His father died when Buster was very young and he was raised by his mother and step-father, L.D. Forrest. He attended school in Belton and married Linda Petty Nov. 26, 1955 in Temple. He opened Jordan's Red & White Grocery in McGregor in 1969 and operated businesses in Spring Valley and Lorena. He was a longtime member of the Retail Grocery Association and retired in 1993. He was a member of the Greenbriar Country Club in McGregor.
He was preceded by a son, Darrell Jordan in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Petty Jordan of Lorena; a son, David Jordan and wife Charlotte of Robinson, one brother, Ronnie Forrest of Euless, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
