City, Journal team up for 2012 Bridal Showcase

Bridal-ShowcaseBrides from Central Texas will be able to interact with wedding local professionals and vendors from throughout the area at the Belton Bridal Show April 14.Central Texas brides-to-be and their families will have the opportunity to see great local wedding vendors just as spring's touch washes over the hill country.

Set your calendar for Sunday, April 15 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Harris Community Center as the City of Belton Parks & Recreation will be teaming up with the Belton Journal to host the Belton Bridal Showcase.

Local vendors from Belton, Harker Heights, Temple and Killeen have already sold out all available booths for the event, which will include professional party planners, photographers, D.J.'s, cake decorators, florists and every other professional specializing in making wedding days spectacular.

An assortment of door prizes will be awarded to registered visitors throughout the afternoon, and there is no cost to attend the event.

Attending bridal shows allows you to meet face to face with wedding professionals, view samples of their work, ask about price, all one on one and in person to get the answers to every question you have, and plenty that you didn't realize you needed to ask.

You can avoid much of the lengthy and arduous task of e-mailing various vendors and trying to get a feel of what they offer and instead see samples for yourself.

Vendors from downtown Belton, such as Sophia of Sprinkle's, Sophia's Cake Creations, are excited to interact with local brides and help them along their path to choosing the right professional to suit their needs.

Located on Central Avenue and scheduled to open later this month, Sophia said she is excited to engage in this event as a business and networking opportunity with other wedding professionals.

This is the first such venture that the Belton Journal has undertaken as a program sponsor.

Each week leading up to the event, there will be stories in the weekly edition to give visitors a feel of what to expect at the event.

In addition, the Journal will be publishing a Bridal Guide as an insert before the event which will feature a large number of vendors in the area, and plenty of copies will be on hand at the Bridal Show as well for you to take home at no cost.
