The March Third Market Day last Saturday drew 65 vendors including some first timers, "and business was very, very good," according to Erma Elser, president of the sponsoring Belton Merchants Association.
The May 19 event will be the fourth anniversary of Market Days.
In preparation for Market Days, stores in the National Downtown Belton Historic Business District will stay open until 8 p.m. to get ready for the big day on Saturday. "The 8 p.m. time is expected to become regular beginning for our Third Saturday event.
For the May 19 celebration, visitors will be served the usual birthday cup cakes. The birthday street dance will be moved to The Gin on Nolan Creek. Details will be announced, Mrs. Elser said.
