LBMS takes first place at meet

Lake Belton Middle School took first place in the Belton Middle School Invitational Swim Meet last Saturday at the Roy and Jean Potts Belton Swim Center on the BHS campus. Not only did LBMS win the combined team total, they also placed first in both the boys and girls events.
The meet was a tune-up for the Hill Country Middle School Championship Meet in Burnet on May 12th.
Lake Belton piled up 937 total team points. Belton Middle School finished second with 737, Hill Country Christian School had 270, Burnet Middle School got 261 and South Belton Middle School scored 64 points.

"These young swimmers have been working hard all year long and they have made a lot of progress," stated coach Mike Burt. "They swam well today and I believe they will represent Belton Middle Schools well next month in Burnet."
