The Belton Police Department, in conjunction with the FBI, are still investigating a break in at Extraco Bank during the weekend.
On Monday morning, police officers were dispatched to the bank located on Main Street after employees coming in to work realized that the bank might have been burglarized.
Employees found items missing and in the wrong place.
The bank was immediately closed down and officers began to interview witnesses and review surveillance tapes.
Officials reported that there appeared to be money unaccounted for.
Sgt. Larry Berg said investigators are still looking into all possible leads, but haven't indentified any suspects as of press time.
According to officials, there were no signs of forced entry on the exterior of the bank and that an alarm on the building did not go off.
The incident occurred some time between closing on Saturday and Monday morning.
No employees were harmed in the incident.
