Billie Bob Mahler

Funeral services for Billie Bob Mahler, 85, of Belton formerly of Heidenheimer, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 17, 2012, at the Dossman Funeral Home with Rev. Gary DeSalvo officiating. Burial will follow at the Greathouse Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home.
Mr. Mahler died Monday, May 14, 2012, at his home in Belton.
Mr. Mahler was born October 3, 1926 in Heidenheimer, the son of Carl Fredrick Mahler and Iola (Jones) Mahler. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a graduate of Texas A&M University. He married Suma Bowles, October 12, 1957 in Temple.
Mr. Mahler was a retired State Auditor for the Texas State Soil Conservation office. In retirement Mr. Mahler was a farmer and rancher. He served on the Academy School Board as well as the Heidenheimer Water Board. He was a member of Temple Bible Church.
Survivors include his wife Suma Mahler of Belton, one daughter Micki Su Greeson of Belton; two sons Michael Mahler of Moffat and Mark Mahler of Belton; one sister Dorothy Cole of Temple and eight grandchildren.
