Swimmers from Belton's three middle schools earned top five finishes at last Saturday's Hill Country Middle School Championship meet in Burnet.
Tiger head swim coach Mike Burt commented afterward "The program has continued to grow and the depth of the program will pay big benefits to the high school program for years to come.'
Lake Belton Middle School finished second in both the Boys and Girls 10-school fields to Flour Bluff Junior High, which won both divisions.
Belton Middle School girls placed third and the boys finished fifth.
South Belton Middle School was fifth in the Girls events.
The complete standings for the girls was: Flour Bluff, LBMS, BMS, Dripping Springs, SBMS, River City Believers Academy, Burnet, Deer Park, Baker and Austin Regents.
Results for all of the boys teams were: Flour Bluff, LBMS, Burnet, Hill Country Christian School, BMS, Austin Regents, Dripping Springs, Baker, Kaffie and Texas Virtual Academy.
Individual results of LBMS swimmers who placed in the top five of their events:
Clarissa Basaldua (1st 100 IM, 1st 50 Fly), Savanah Bush (5th 50 Breast), Caleb Ferguson (4th 50 Back), Alayne Johnson (3rd 50 Free, 4th 500 Free), Mercedes Marcus (5th 200 Free), Troy Morrow (2nd 100 Free, 4th 50 Free), Vincent Sottosanti (5th 500 Free), Benjamin Stobaugh (5th 50 Breast), Michael Tarver (4th 500 Free), Dakota Thompson (5th 500 Free), Noah Varville (2nd 500 Free, 3rd 200 Free).
Other Lake Belton swimmers who placed included: Alexis Barnett, Savannah Bush, Haley Capps, Caleb Ferguson, Jordan Gensler, Rebecca Heidema, Jiao Ruopu, Hannah Klepac, Mercedes Marcus, Noah Morrow, Valencia Ramerez, Georgia Ross, Katlynn Rystad, Vincent Sottosanto, Casey Starnes, Jadyn Stephens, Benjamin Stobaugh, Michael Tarver, Dakota Thompson and Mara Urbanzyk.

Andrew Fitzwater (2nd 50 Fly, 3rd 100 IM), Quinton Fowler (3rd 500 Free, 4th 200 Free), Chalon Fulcher-Waller (3rd 100 Free, 5th 100 IM), Thomas Holcomb (4th 50 Breast), Courtney Lamm (3rd 100 IM, 4th 50 Fly), Michael McDonald (3rd 100 Free, 5th 50 Free), Maggie Montgomery (2nd 500 Free, 3rd 200 Free), Margaret Murphy (1st 200 Free, 1st 50 Breast), Lauren Staudt (5th 50 Back), and McKenna Thompson (1st 50 Free, 1st 50 Back).
Other BMS swimmers who placed included: Jordan Eldreth, Shelby Hartman, Thomas Holcomb, Macy Lillibridge and Anna Zendt.
South Belton entered just two swimmers:
Brooke Gilmore (1st 500 Free, 2nd 100 IM) and Emily Starr (8th 50 Breast,
14th 50 Free).
The Belton Middle School relay teams took two 1st place finishes, two 2nd place, one 3rd place, one 4th place and one 5th place.
The Lake Belton Middle School relay teams earned one 2nd place, three 3rd place, one 4th place, three 5th place and one 6th place.
