Kyle Revis wins Tapatia Springs Junior Golf Championship

Kyle-RevisKyle RevisBelton sophomore varsity golf team member Kyle Revis won the Tapatia Springs Junior Golf Association tour's 15-18 year old division Championship Mother's Day weekend. Revis shot a two-day total of 142, equaling a two-under par tournament. He bested the runner up from Fair Oaks Ranch, TX, by four strokes and finished five shots in front of the third-place finisher from Cedar Park.

A field of 23 of the best young golfers from the entire central and south Texas regions competed in the two-day event at Tapatia Springs Golf Resort in Boerne. It was perfect golf weather both days with sunny skies and a light breeze that swept over the 6,504 yard course.

Day one offered an afternoon tee time start.

Revis was star of opening day as he fired a three-under- par round of 69 to lead the field by five strokes.

The second day began with a shotgun start in the morning to aid out-of-town golfers with better traveling time after the tournament.

Revis backed up his opening round as he carded a solid 73 to capture the title.

With his first place finish, Revis qualified for four major TJGT tournaments this year.

Kyle represented his hometown with style.
