BEEF awards $70,000 in scholarships

Belton High School Cheerleaders recently donated a “cheer party” to the Caring Ball silent auction benefiting the Temple Community Free Clinic. Approximately $70,000 in scholarships were awarded by the Belton Educational Enrichment Foundation at the Senior Awards Assembly at Belton High School on Tuesday.

This amount in addition to other community and previously awarded scholarships totaled almost $4M in scholarships.

Kathy Cook, BHS principal, said, "We are very proud of this senior class and what they have accomplished. To amass this amount in scholarship funds shows the dedication and achievements of this group of students. We know they will continue to do well and bring honor to Belton High School." Honor graduates were also recognized at the ceremony.
