Obituaries

Lonnie Joe Pruitt Sr.

Lonnie Joe Pruitt, Sr., 69, of Temle, died May 27 in an area hospital. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. June 1 at Heartfield Funeral Home with the Rev. Anna Pearl Thomas officiating. Burial was in Val Verde Cemetery at Davilla in Milam County.

Mr. Pruitt a born in the Taylors Valley Community May 28m 1119432 to Lonnie C. and Flossie (Lawson) Pruitt and married Mary Pruitt July 5, 1976 in Belton. He worked as a carpenter and roofer. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Mr. Pruitt was preceded in death by a son, Lonnie J. Pruitt, Jr., his father, Lonnie C. Pruitt and his mother, Flossie Lawson Schoebel; his brother, Jimmy Lee Pruitt, Sr., and a nephew.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Pruitt of Temple; two sons, David Fowler of Temple and Phillip Fowler of Ft. Worth; one daughter, Mandy Pruitt of Temple; one brother, David Ray Pruitt; four sisters, Barbara Rutledge, Johnnie Pruitt and Connie Pruitt all of Belton and Kathy Falkenburg of Temple; one half-sister, Barbara Steele of Ohio, one step-sister, Sheila Albro of Temple, one half-brother, Curtis Pruitt of Ohio and eight grandchildren.

Heartfield Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
