Belton welcomes home attorney

Josh-PearsonJosh PearsonFor the past few months Josh Pearson has been settling back into life as a Belton resident. Josh has called Belton home for much of his life, but only recently returned from living in the Dallas area for the past ten years. While in Dallas he attended the SMU Dedman School of Law and graduated cum laude this past month. He joined the law practice of Michael Miller, who hosted an open house for the incoming attorney on May 25.

Josh Pearson graduated from Belton High School in 1997 and attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor until 2001 when he graduated with a degree in Computer Studies. He married fellow UMHB alum, Kerri Pearson, and the two moved to Dallas in February of 2002. Josh built a successful business career in online application development before feeling the call to attend law school in 2009. He scored in the top 2 percent of the country in the LSAT exam and was awarded the Dean's Scholarship to attend the SMU Dedman School of Law.

"Being able to practice law in our home community surrounded by our families and closest friends is truly a dream come true," Pearson said. "We love the Belton community and are looking forward to becoming more involved in civic service for the city and county."

Michael Miller & Associates is located at 520 S. Main Street in Belton.
