Robert Atmar becomes Director of Student Services for BISD

Robert Atmar was recently named the new Director of Student Services for BISD.Robert Atmar, the former Assistant Principal of Belton High School is now the new Director of Student Services for BISD.

"I hope to continue all of the wonderful work Dr. Scott Moger did, it would be a great salute to him after leaving this position," Atmar said. "I really appreciate being given the opportunity to serve and help not only the students, but the parents throughout our district."

Some of his duties include taking care of the student transfers, discipline alternatives, scheduling administrative "boot camps" for all admins to attend a three-hour work shop, making sure everything is being followed in the student handbooks, taking care of all the district health services and much more toward bettering all of the schools in the Belton school district.

Atmar is also the liaison for the Juvenile Justice Alternative Program or JJAEP in Killeen.

He hopes to build a strong relationship within the community and district.

"I want to make it as easy as possible to get results from my office so we're able to get positive results from students in all of the campuses."
