Anthony (Tony) Glade Clampet, 69, of Belton died June 27 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. June 30 at the Belton Church of Christ with Minister Joe Baisden officiating. Burial was in North Belton Cemetery Mr. Clampet was born was born Oct . 25, 1942 in Haworth, Okla. the son of Lawrence and Isabel (McClure ) Clampet. He married Barbara Green ion Redland, Okla. A nine-year veteran of the U.S. Army worked for many years as an electronic technician at Ft. Hood. He was a graduate of FAA Academy in Oklahoma. He was a member of the Belton Church of Christ where he served as a deacon for a number of years. The family moved to Belton in 1972. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Clampet of Belton; his mother, Isabel Clampet of Haworth, Okla., a son, Brian Clampet and wife Melody of Academy; two daughters, Stacy Clampet Roberts and husband Mike of Bentonville, Ark. and Stephanie Scott and husband Wes of Plano; two brothers, Jerry Paul Clampet and Steve Clampet both of Haworth; two sisters, Sandra Holt of Haworth and Cheryl Hopkins of Idabel, Okla. and six grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Cherokee Childrens Home, P.O. Box 295 Cherokee, TX 76821. Dossman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
