Beth Gardner wins national gymnastics award

Thompson, left is the Director of Education for USA Gymnastics.Beth Gardner was named National Instructor of The Year by USA Gymnastics at their national convention held in San Jose, CA this past weekend. Garner is own of Heart of Texas Gymnastics located near Belton on IH-35. She is the co-author and director for Instructor Training Program Preschool, ITP Recreational and ITP Brain and Body courses for the Gymnastics Association of Texas.
Her articles have appeared in 'Technique' magazines and she had compiled her lesson plans and coaching philosophies in numerous books. She has served on the USAG Preschool Advisory Board and the USAG Safety Review Board.
USA Gymnastics has over 100,000 athletes and over 20,00o professionals and club members. It is the sole governing body for the sport of gymnastics in the United States according to information provided by their web site.
Gardner is a national speaker and travels all over the U.S. "It was a total surprise. My staff her is awesome. I could never travel and speak nationally without them. They are educated in the sport and know what they are doing," said Garner.
She has also received multiple awards from the Gymnastics Association of Texas. When she travels as a speaker her areas of expertise involve early childhood development, coaching boys in gymnastics, special needs and recreational.
