Minton named assistant sports director

Sarah MintonThe University of Mary Hardin-Baylor has named Sarah Minton to be the school's new Assistant Sports Information Director, Cru Sports Information Director Jon Wallin announced today.
Minton will assist in communications efforts for all 12 of UMHB's varsity sports in her new role.
"I am thrilled to have Sarah join the sports information staff," Wallin said. "She brings a great mix of enthusiasm and experience and has already hit the ground running. I am looking forward to her contributions to the department in promoting and publicizing our outstanding programs and student-athletes."
Minton earned her bachelor's degree in Public Relations from the University of North Texas, where she served as a student-assistant in the football office. She then received her master's degree in Sport Management from Texas Woman's University in 2012. Minton most recently served as the communications intern for the Southland Conference, where she was the primary contact for women's soccer, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field. She has also held internships at the Big 12 Conference and Dave Campbell's Texas Football and served as media director for the Indoor Football League franchise Allen Wranglers. In addition, Minton has assisted in communications efforts for various sports, including the 2012 FCS National Championship.
"I am very excited about my new position here at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor," Minton said. "I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such a strong program and do so in a Christ-centered environment."
