Max Hogan named to All-state team, again

Belton baseball player Max Hogan was named to the Texas Sports Writers Association's 5A All-State team for the second year in a row. Hogan played on varsity for three seasons with the Tigers winning multiple playoff series during their annual appearance in the post season.
Hogan was named to the third team this year and signed to play baseball for Dallas Baptist University. He drove in 27 runs and had a .352 batting average this season. Belton lost to Bryan in Regional quarterfinals in three games and A&M Consolidated lost in the state finals making Belton's district arguably the toughest in the state in 2012.
Hogan played second base for the Tigers for the Tigers and is one of many top players the program has produced over the years.
