Funeral services for Rosa Nell Curry, 66, of Belton will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jay Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at McDowell Cemetery.
Rosa was born on June 12, 1946, to the late Samuel and Dorothy Ray Smith in McClennan County. She married Billy Joe Curry on November 11, 1963, at Waco. She loved digging for arrowheads, fishing, hunting, working in her garden, going to garage sales, antiques and bingo.
Mrs. Curry passed away Thursday evening at a local hospital.
Her husband, Billy Joe, preceded her in death on June 22, 2009. She was also preceded by a bother, Sam Smith; sister, Mary Farr; and a grandson, Andrew Curry.
Survivors include one son, Arnold Curry and wife Connie of Temple; two daughters, LaShell Dougherty and husband Matthew of Temple, and Wanda Jernigan of Temple; two brothers, Roland (Bubba) Smith and Ricky Smith; sister, Frances Smith; grandchildren, Anthony, Josh, Jonathon, Nicole, Heather, Lexy, Thomas, JoJo, and Brandy; and great-granddaughter, Trinity.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Curry, Josh Curry, Casey Bratton, Joshua Smith, Homer Lykin and Bill Jones.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Heartfield Funeral Home.
