Plans were made for the CRT to ask permission from the Police Chief to hold a Flag Dedication Ceremony on March 2, 2013, and fly a Texas Flag that few over the Alamo to mark Texas Independence Day and Flag Day at the Belton Police Department.

The CRT reconvened at the First United Methodist Church and heard a wonderful presentation by Reverend Darren Walker. Reverend Walker gave a history of the church which was established in 1850 and was known as the Cathedral Church of the Northwest Texas Conference. He then gave the CRT a tour of the Church which included the Texas Historical Marker, the sanctuary, the pipe organ and bellows, and numerous libraries and classrooms. In the words of 9 year old Justin Evans, "This Church is awesome!"
