Fingerprints identify stabbing victim

On Oct. 12, at approximately 9 a.m., the body of an unidentified male was discovered by a motorist near FM 1670, approximately half of a mile south of the Stillhouse Dam. The unidentified victim was sent to the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas for an autopsy and to attempt to indentify the body.
On Oct. 13, the Bell County Sherriff's Office was notified by SIFS that the cause of death was due to stab wounds in the chest area. The victim was indentified by finger prints as being a reported missing person out of San Antonio. He was identified as Llael Garcia-Rodriguez, 31, from San Antonio.
Investigators with the Bell County Sheriff's Office were also advised by the San Antonio Police Department that the victim was believed to have been in the Killeen area on Oct. 11.
The victim's vehicle, described as a 1996 Chrysler Sebring white in color with a convertible top and black wheels, has yet to be located. The license plate number of the vehicle is DT6W479.
