Teacher in custody

On Oct. 22 at approximately 3 p.m., a Bell County Sheriff's Office deputy was dispatched to Salado High School in reference to a student telling Salado School administrators that he was having a sexual relationship with a Salado teacher.

Two days later, on Oct. 24, the investigation was taken to the Bell County District Attorney Office to attempt to obtain a felony warrant for the arrest of 48-year-old Lisa Marie Wagnon.

Upon completion of the review by the Bell County District Attorney Office, a warrant was issued by Judge Duffield for the arrest of Lisa Wagnon, for the felony offense of Improper Relationship between Educator and Student.

The charge is a 2nd-degree felony. The suggested bond was $10 thousand.

Wagnon turned herself in to the Travis County Sheriff's Ofice.

Salado School Superintendent Dr. Michael Novotny said Wagnon resigned after working for the district for 12 years.
