UMHB Women’s soccer

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team placed seven players on the American Southwest Conference All-Conference teams released today. The Lady Cru placed one on the All-ASC Second Team, four on the Third Team and had two Honorable Mention picks.

Camryn Powell earned a second-team all-conference selection for the third consecutive season. Powell, a senior midfielder from Frisco, Texas (Frisco H.S.) ranked second on the team in goals (three) and game-winning goals (two), and third in points (six). She took 15 shots and started all 16 matches for the Lady Cru.

Senior midfielder Jordan Powers was named to the All-ASC Third Team. Powers, a Deer Park, Texas (Deer Park H.S.), native, led the team in assists (three) and ranked second in goals (three) and points (nine). She also started all 16 matches for the Lady Cru and served as a team captain alongside Powell.

Defenders Alison Bullock and Ashley Stenack were also third-team selections. Bullock, a junior from Rockwall, Texas (Heath H.S.), scored one goal and one assist for the Lady Cru this season. She and Stenack, a freshman from Georgetown, Texas (Georgetown H.S.) led a defense that allowed just 22 goals this season, the least in UMHB history.

Goalkeeper Sarah Kathryn Robinson was also a third-team selection. Robinson, a senior from Waco, Texas (Dorman H.S.), recorded 83 saves and allowed just 20 goals in her only season with UMHB. She also scored one goal.

Midfielders Eliza Faillace and Tori Seiler were All-ASC Honorable Mention selections for the Lady Cru. Faillace, a junior from Bradenton, Fla. (Manatee H.S.), ranked third on the team in shots (24) and recorded one assist this season. Seiler, a senior from Belton, Texas (Belton H.S.), took 14 shots this season and was anchor in the Lady Cru midfield.

The UMHB women's soccer team finished the 2012 season with a 6-8-2 overall record. The Lady Cru went 3-7-2 in conference play under first-year head coach Barry Elkins.

This is the third all-conference selection for Powell and Powers, second for Bullock and first for Stenack, Robinson, Faillace and Seiler.
