Odell Hallmark

Funeral services for Odell Hallmark, 76, of Belton were held at 2:30 p.m. Wed., Nov. 14, 2012, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Chaplain Bruce Mercer officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Belton.

Mr. Hallmark died Sun., Nov. 11, 2012, at his home in Belton.

He was born April 6, 1936, in Belton, the son of Robert Ivy Hallmark and Gladys Ruthie (Petty) Hallmark. He was a soldier in the Army National Guard and went on to work as a truck driver, which he loved to talk about and tell his stories of being on the road. Truck driving was his life where he was known as "Texas Drifter" and was always happy to be on the open road.

Odell is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Walker; two sons, Danny and Forrest Hallmark; four stepsons, Craig Wallace, Tommy Wallace, Bill Walker, Wilburn Walker; three daughters, Cindy Campbell, Sherry Warden, Judy Splain; one stepdaughter, Melinda King; 28 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
