USMC celebrates 237th birthday at Johnny’s

Johnny’s Bar-Be-Que hosted the 237th USMC Birthday Breakfast. The key note speaker was an Iwo Jima veteran.Johnny’s Bar-Be-Que was packed full of Marines, young and old, past and current. All of whom enjoyed the slide show from the Vietnam war. The Marine Corps League was present to celebrate the USMC birthday. Grant Smith performed the cutting of the cake, which was served to the guest of honor, and the oldest and youngest Marines first. GySgt Vincent M Cabrero gave a speech and read a letter that was hard pressed to leave a dry eye in the house. The raffle was held shortly after which gave away several gifts including combat drawings, statues, knives, and t-shirts.
