Children find “Forever Families” at the Bell County Annex

The Bell County Court Annex will be transformed on Thursday November 16, 2012 into an enchanted Emerald City, complete with a yellow brick road, and Wizard of Oz characters.

The annex will be the site of the celebration creating "forever families" for children who have been in Foster Care because they were the victims of abuse or neglect.

In all, 20 children will be welcomed into their new "forever families" and will be well prepared for their new lives thanks to hundreds of donations.

The attorneys involved also donate their services to defray the cost of the adoptions.

November is National Adoption Month, and Bell County Adoption Day is part of the nationwide effort to celebrate families that are welcoming new members from foster care and to draw attention to the continuing need for foster and adoptive homes.

There are more than 6000 children in Texas and 113 children in Bell County waiting to be adopted.

You can find more information by visiting www.adoptchildren.org or by calling 1-800-233-3405.
