Funeral services for Melody S. Underwood, 54, of Morgan's Point Resort were held at 10 a.m. Sat., Jan. 5, at Dossman Funeral Home. Burial was held at 2 p.m. at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
Mrs. Underwood died Wed., Jan. 2, 2013, in Temple.
She was born Sept. 5, 1958, in San Antonio, the daughter of Jack Hoover and Lanell (Worrell) Hoover. She married Gary Underwood Feb. 1, 1985, in Galveston. After marriage, Melody and Gary moved to Central Texas in 1986 and attended Oak Park Methodist Church in Temple. Mrs. Underwood was a kind caring person who often was taking care of the family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Wesley Wayne Hoover.
She is survived by husband, Gary Underwood; one son, Jonathan Underwood; one daughter, Stacy Underwood; and one sister, Lila LaRue Deaton.
