MPR City Council accepts truck

The Morgan's Point Resort city council accepted a used fire truck from the City of Temple. The vehicle will be used to haul equipment for the dive team that is part of the MPR Fire Department.
They also approved the minutes from the December 11th meeting. The Economic Development Corp will meet at City Hall January 12 in a planning meeting.
The MPR Fire Department responded to 486 calls and the Police Department 7,142 in 2012. The Christmas food drive in MPR raised 805 pounds of food for the Helping Hands Ministry a record for MPR.
