Bell County Expo Center to host Boat Show

The 2013 Central Texas Boat Show will be held this weekend at the Bell County Expo Center. There will be numerous marine dealers, kids activities, concessions and fun for the whole family. Sharing fishing stories and envisioning a family getaway on the water may be found in surplus at the Central Texas Marine Dealers Boat Show this year at the Bell County Expo Center from Jan. 11-13.
Fishing, skiing, tubing, cruising, kayaking or sailing are just some of the experiences waiting to be discovered for attendees in the exhibition hall. The show will be from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Some of the Marine Dealers participating in this year's show include Central Texas Water Sports of Austin, Marine Outlet of Temple and Lake LBJ Marineland of Kingsland.
Admission is $6 for adults and free for kids 12 and under with a paid adult. All money raised will go toward the City's Parks and Recreation department. Parking is free. Friday is Military Appreciation Day and all active duty military and their dependents will be admitted free with an active duty military I.D.
Events of the weekend will include a kid's zone all three days of the show with a full tank of some big Channel Catfish for fisher-kids in training, kid's bumper boats and kids bubble rides. Concessions will also be available.
Seminars with Tommy Tidwell, Crappie Expert, will be held on Jan. 12-13 from 1-2 p.m. Each seminar will reveal secrets that are only learned by spending countless of hours on the water. Seminars are included with show admission fees.
The 13th annual TuffMan Championship Tournament with 61 qualifying teams will begin on Jan 12 at 3 p.m. to weigh in the catches of Lake Belton's most experienced bass fisherman. Official weigh-in time starts at 3:30 p.m. Catches of the day will be weighed under the Expo dome for all interested on-lookers. The top five winning teams will receive over $20,000 in cash and prizes with a grand prize of $10,000.
Marine dealers at the show will be offering discounts on existing models and preferred financing options. Manufacturer incentives and packaging will be available for this year's best boating prices.
Boats at the show include small personal watercraft, bass boats, ski boats and cruisers to roomy party craft large enough for family and friends.
Some of the exhibits during the show include Advance Chiropractic, B&G Marine, Budweiser and Don Ringler Chevrolet-Toyota to name just a few.
