University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's basketball player Thomas Orr has been named American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Week for the week ending January 13th. Orr is the third UMHB basketball player to earn ASC Player of the Week honors this season, joining Brian Todd and Kitrick Bell.
Orr, a senior wing from Hutto High School, led the Cru in scoring in a pair of crucial West Division wins last week, averaging 24.5 points per game during the week. Orr poured in 25 points, including the game-winning free-throws in a 98-95 victory over Concordia Texas to open the week. He then scored 24 in a win over Hardin-Simmons.
His play helped the Cru break a three-way tie for first-place to take over sole possession of the lead in the ASC West Division.
