University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football player Michael Coles has been selected to play in the inaugural Dream Bowl All-Star Game later this month. Coles will join three teammates in the game. Javicz Jones, LiDarral Bailey and Sam Maxie are also on the Dream Bowl roster.
Coles, a senior offensive guard from San Antonio Stevens High School, was voted to the D3football.com All-America team and also claimed American Southwest Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year honors. He was the highest-grading linemen for a Cru offense that averaged 48.9 points, 296.2 rushing yards and 523.2 yards of total offense per game this season. UMHB also allowed just 15 quarterback sacks in 342 passing attempts on the year.
The Inaugural Dream Bowl will be played January 21, 2013 at Salem Stadium in Roanoke, VA. The College Football All-Star Game is a showcase of the best NCAA D-III and NAIA players from across the country. The game and the series of events held over Martin Luther King Weekend are a celebration of the excellence, commitment, and sacrifice made by the players and their families.
