Monteith presents $25k donation
Thursday, 31 January 2013 by Jennifer John
Monteith Abstract & Title Company continued their campaign called Closing for the Kids with a $25,000 pledge presentation for 2013 at the McLane Children's Scott & White Hospital on Jan. 9 at 3 p.m.
Monteith began the Closing for the Kids campaign in March last year as a way to give back to the community. The funds are direct donations from Monteith without additional charges to any parties of the transaction. For every refinance transaction, Monteith will donate $5 and for every sale closing this year, they will donate $10 toward the Scott & White Children's Hospital campaign to be given at the end of 2013.
"We are very fortunate to have such a state of the art facility here and we want to ensure that its ongoing development is supported," Katie Corbett Monteith Marketing Representative said. "Without this amazing new hospital, families in the area would have to drive to Austin or Fort Worth for the specialized Pediatric procedures and care they need."
Members from Scott & White and donators reflected pledges at the presentation from closings of $10, 891 in 2012 and a large check to the McLane Children's Hospital for the $25,000 goal of Monteith by the end of 2013.
Direct donation boxes are in the lobby of Monteith offices for anyone who wants to donate out of pocket toward this campaign. For further donations, anyone can contact Scott & White directly.
In addition to Closing for the Kids, Monteith is also campaigning for Closing to Honor Their Legacy out of their Killeen office to support the National Mounted Warfare Foundation. Monteith said they are working to honor the legacy of our soldiers, veterans, and community at Fort Hood with their support.
