Roy Marie Williams, Belton native daughter, passed away on Jan. 15, 2013, in Durham, N.C.. Born July 7, 1931, to Roy Milton Smith and Charlotte Boynton Smith, Roy Marie grew up in Belton and graduated from Belton High School. She later completed her associate degree at Temple Junior College. She was pre-deceased by her parents; her sister, Charlotte Jean Smith; her son, Mark Stephen Williams; her niece, Beverly Taylor Flentge; and her nephew, Bruce Taylor.
Survivors include daughters, Barbara Williams Ellertson of Durham, N.C. and Laura B. Hood of Lewes, Dela.; and niece, Lydia Claire Taylor of Belton.
A service to inter Roy Marie's ashes in the North Belton Cemetery will be held in May 2013; a more complete notice will be placed at that time.
