Funeral services for Rick Simmons, 64, of Belton, will be held at 2 p.m. Sun., Feb. 3, 2013, at the Vista Community Church at Central Texas Christian School in Temple with Dave Jeffreys and Bobby Johnson officiating.
Mr. Simmons died Mon., Jan. 28, 2013, at his home in Belton.
Mr. Simmons was born July 7, 1948, in Clarksville, Tenn. He married Kathie (Haynes) Simmons on Sept. 19, 1981, in Eagle Lake, Texas. They've lived in Belton since 1983. He was the founder and owner of Belton Tire and Brake and truly loved serving this community.
Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife, Kathie; daughter, Amanda Simmons Winkler and her husband Justin, and their two children, Emma and Logan Winkler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vista Community Church Building Fund, 419 Hilliard Road, Temple, Texas 76502.
