LaRue Stephens Hollingsworth

Memorial services for LaRue Stephens Hollingsworth, 87, of Temple were held at 2 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 26, 2013, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Gary Anthony officiating.
Mrs. Hollingsworth died Wed., Jan. 23, 2013. She was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Beaumont, Texas, to Elma and Grover Stephens. Mrs. Hollingsworth graduated from South Park High School in Beaumont and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and English from Sam Houston State University. On Sept. 22, 1946, she married Harold "Holly" Hollingsworth. During their marriage they lived in Texas, Wyoming, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
Mrs. Hollingsworth was a wife, mother, best friend, teacher, real estate title insurance closing agent and so much more. She was a member of the Lydia Life Group of First Baptist Church Temple. She also participated in Bible Study Fellowship and played duplicate bridge for many years. Mrs. Hollingsworth is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harold "Holly" Hollingsworth; her children, Mark Hollingsworth of Temple, Wayne Hollingsworth and Dana Hollingsworth of Austin, and her four grandchildren.
