County Commission re-designates response area

The Bell County Commissioner's Court re-designated the response area of the Sparta Volunteer Fire Department during a short meeting last Monday.
With the approval of the re-designation, the response area of the Sparta VFD from Capitol EMS to Belton EMS. The move was to cut down on response times on calls from Nolanville to just outside the Belton city limits.
The Sparta VFD will now take over those calls, which were averaging 17 minutes with Central Bell EMS responding to the calls.
The Commissioner's Court also approved County Judge Jon Burrows the issuance of Hospital Revenue Bonds Issued for the Benefit of Scott and White Hospital and the Scott, Sherwood and Brindley Foundation.
Although approval was needed, the bonds are not a liability of Bell County.
Commissioner's also authorized the County Auditor to purchase one Police Package Tahoe for the Bell County Sheriff's Department.
