Merry Maids partners with AHA
Monday, 18 February 2013 by Keith Bahlmann
Merry Maids of Central Texas is partnering with the American Heart Association for "American Heart Month," and we are excited for our team members and staff to participate in the "Go Red for Women" campaign during February to help spread awareness!
Why we are partnering with AHA: * Heart disease is still the #1 killer of women; * American Heart Association spreads awareness and supports heart research; * Merry Maids wanted to partner with a national charibable organization as part of our lifestyle branding goal; * National Heart Month promotes heart health during February.
Our team members will be decked out in Red Out Gear each Friday in February, including AHA branded red shirts, dress pins, wristbands, and leave-behinds for Merry Maids customers. One of the leave-behinds will be a "Raise the Roof" coin collector to be left in our regular customers' homes, giving them the opportunity to place spare change in the coin collectors. Merry Maids team members will then pick up the coin collectors during the first regularly scheduled cleaning in March. All money will go to the American Heart Association.
In addition, Merry Maids of Central Texas will donate $1 for each new "like" of their local facebook page during the month of February, up to $500 (www.facebook.com/MerryMaidsOfCentralTexas).
Everyone, customers or not, still has the opportunity to make a donation to AHA for this great cause by going to www.heart.org/merrymaids.
