Leroy E. Barlow

Leroy E. Barlow, 74, of Belton, passed away peacefully Wed., Feb. 6, at his residence.
Services will be held at the family's residence with Rev. Rodney Kruse officiating. Family and friends will be notified at a later time when arrangements have been made.
Mr. Barlow was born Oct. 19, 1938, in Elkhart, Ind., where he was raised and educated. He was blessed with amazing artistic abilities, and in his early 20s Mr. Barlow studied at the Norman Rockwell School of Art.
He painted for the majority of his life, but was a die setter/machinist by trade. He moved to the Temple-Belton area in 1992, and work at MTC in Temple, where he loved his job.
In 2003, Mr. Barlow retired from MTC, but still continued painting his realistic sceneries. Mr. Barlow was a wise, loving, and comical man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends as he now rests in the hands of the Lord.
Preceding him in his everlasting life was his wife, Patricia Barlow, who passed in 2005, and his mother and father.
Survivors include his daughter, Kelly Peacock of Belton; two granddaughters, Desirea Holmes and Marea Jennings of Temple; and a great-grandson, Logan Jennings.
Central Texas Cremations was in charge of arrangements.
