Vendors release prize list

Vendors have released a list of incredible door prizes to be given out during this year's Bridal Showcase on March 10 at Harris Community Center. Whether you're in the early stages of planning or tying up loose ends, the Bridal Showcase is a can't-miss event.

The City of Belton Parks & Recreation Department will be teaming up with the Belton Journal to host the Belton Bridal Showcase.

Local, professional vendors from Belton, Harker Heights, Temple and Killeen will be on hand for every wedding service you can dream up; from professional party planners to photographers, cake decorators and florists, they will be there to answer questions and provide a warm, smiling face to replace a list of names, numbers and website recommendations.

Copies of the Belton Journal's fresh Bridal Guide will be free and available for those who stop by as well.

Belton Events and Recreation Director Sandy Slade is managing the festivities on site for the day of the event, and she's excited that the City is hosting it.

"We invite all the brides-to-be to come out and book their photographer, caterer, or other professional from the 38 area vendors who will be on hand to showcase their business," she said. "We'll have a little goodie bag for all the brides, register all the brides. The event is unique because it offers one-on-one connections between the brides and the vendors. That is our driving force."

You can avoid much of the lengthy and arduous task of e-mailing various vendors and trying to get a feel of what they offer and instead see samples for yourself. See you at the Harris Center!
