Lady Tigers top fields at tourneys

KILLEEN-The Belton Lady Tigers golf team continues in the rich tradition of Tigers Golf with a solid victories in the Valentines Day Shootout at Clear Creek on February 14th and Killeen ISD Tourney held at StoneTree Golf Course in Killeen February 19.
At the Valentine's Day tournament, Belton Tigers One took home top team score of 387, with Tigers Two finishing with a score of 432. Kyler Tormey took home top tournament honors with a tournament low 76, despite a crazy Central Texas wind. Many of the areas best golfers participated and few shot below 100 with the howling conditions.
In the Killeen ISD tournament, Belton Tigers One shot 352 for the tournament, outlasting schools from around the area.
Kove Young led the field with an tournament low 84, a shot better than teammate Kyler Tormey (85). The Lady Tigers also received great performances from Madison Smith (88), Morgan Thomasson (95) and Taylor Jacobs (101).
The next varsity action will take place on April 10-11 when the Lady Tigers will play their District 8-5A meet, split between Cottonwood Country Club in Waco and StoneTree Golf Course in Killeen.
