Charles W. Meadors

Charles William Meadors, 79, of Salado passed away on Sept. 26 at his home.
He was born on Sept. 23, 1932 in Decatur, Ill. to Rudolph and Martha Meadors. Charles served our country in the U.S. Marine Crops from 1949-53, during that time he attained the rank of Staff Sgt.
He worked as an Engineering Designer for many companies such as Texas Instruments and NASA.
On Oct. 4, 1958, he married his loving wife, Jimmie, in Phoenix.
They moved to Central Texas from Houston in 1979 and are members of the Church of Christ.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and sister.
He is survived by his wife Jimmie; two sons, Mark Meadors and wife Renee, Scott Meadors and wife Connie; and three grandchildren, Allison, Wade and Travis Meadors.
A memorial service under the direction of Dossman Funeral Home in Belton and will be held 1 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Scott and Mark Meadors officiating.
