Charles William Meadors, 79, of Salado died Sept. 26 at his home. A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Sept. 29 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Scott Meadors and Mark Meadors officiating.
Mr. Meadors was born Sept. 23, 1932 in Decatur, Ill. to Rudolph and Martha Meadors. He served US from 1949-53, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He worked as an engineering designer for many companies including Texas Instruments and NASA. He married his wife, Jimmie, Oct. 4, 1958 and they moved from Houston to the Central Texas area in 1979. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Meadors; two sons, Mark Meadors and wife Renee, Scott Meadors and wife Connie, and three grandchildren.
