Bennie Ray Hicks

Bennie Ray Hicks, 53, of Morgan's Point died Sept. 27 in a Belton nursing home. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Oct. 1 at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Morrow and the Rev. Billy Johnson officiating, Burial was in Moffat Cemetery at Moffat.

Mr. Hicks was born March 22, 1958 at Fort Hood the son of Wayne and Frances (Patterson) Hicks. He was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church. He was a wholesale salesman and last held a position with Jack Hilliard Distributing. He was a member of the American Pool Players Association for over 20 years. He was a member of the Peanuts Gang Team, winning the State Championship this year and competing in the National tourment in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his mother, Frances Hicks of Quitman; one brother, James Hicks and wife Missy of Quitman; two sisters, Diane Williams of Quitman and Brenda Hight and husband, Larry of Morgan's Point Resort, eight nieces and nephews and three great niece and nephews.

Dossman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
