Jerry Lee Shafer

Jerry Lee Shafer, 60, died Oct. 25, at his home in Temple. Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Oct. 29 at Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel with Yohan Beck officiating.
Mr. Shafer was born Oct. 24, 1951 in Austin to Herman O. and Beatrice (Barnes) Shafer and lived his entire life in the Belton area. He worked at WilsonArt as a foreman for over 20 years before retiring then worked at Lowe's for three years. In December 1980 he married Sharon Lynn McGoldrick in Temple.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Don Shafer.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, James Shafer of Cameron and Dustin Shafer of Temple; one daughter, Stacey Ehler and husband, Jason, of Eddy; one sister, Audrey Sawyer and husband Larry of Arkansas, two grandchildren.
