Wilson Glenn, 88, of Temple died Nov. 4 in a Temple care center. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Nov. 8 at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Kevin Avery officiating.
Burial was in the Salado Cemetery at Salado.
Mr. Glenn was born Sept. 1, 1923 in McKee, Ky., the son of Sam Glen and Ella Wilson Glenn. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was given the title "Kentucky Colonel" by the State of Kentucky for his war time service.
He married Betty Lou Smith July 10, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio. He was self-employed in the drywall business for many years. The last of 13 children, he lived Ft. Myers, Fla. before moving to Belton.
He was preceded in death by his wife March 5, 2006.
He is survived by two son, James Glenn of Belton and Roger Glenn of El Paso, two daughters, Brenda Stiltner of Belton and Vickie Strong and husband Dennis of Austin, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Dossman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
